Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, based on the intent of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereafter the "Personal Information Protection Law"), which stipulates that personal information be protected in a advanced information and communications-oriented society, is cognizant of the importance of protecting personal information and privacy, appropriately handles personal information and works to protect it. Personal information acquired for news purposes is exempt from the Personal Information Protection Law to avoid infringing on the freedom of reporting and expression. In keeping with journalistic ethics, we pledge even more discretion than we have ever exercised before in our handling of personal information acquired for news purposes.

1.Our acquisition of personal information: We acquire personal information after making clear the purpose for which it will be used, within the bounds of necessity and through appropriate and fair methods.

5.Disclosing, amending, ceasing use of personal information, etc.: When we receive a request from a person to disclose, revise, cease using or delete his own personal information, we will comply in a timely manner after confirming that the person has the right to make this request. However, personal information we handle for news purposes is exempt from this under applicable provisions.

6.Management of personal information: To prevent the loss, destruction, falsification or unintentional disclosure of personal information, we are taking appropriate information security measures against improper access, computer viruses and the like. At the same time, to prevent personal information from being disclosed by being carried out of the office or transmitted externally, we engage in proper handling, maintenance and operations.
